They are possessed with a crooked trunk with a thickness of about 10 – 30 cm and low-hanging irregular branches. Their leaves are distinctive too, winged with alternate elliptic or ovate shapes with leathery texture, gull green on top surface and hairy lower side. The Pomelo tree (Citrus maxima) also blooms during warm weather and during regular rainfall, with yellow-white flowers that generally emerge as a single or in a cluster. They are widely known for the large citrus fruit that it bears. These fruits have a thicker rind than a grapefruit and taste also somewhat of mild grapefruit too.
