Description:
The Dumb Cane, also known as Dieffenbachia Camilla, is an attractive evergreen perennial plant with large green leaves patterned with yellow or white. It's called the "Dumb Cane" because its sap contains oxalic acid, which can cause temporary swelling and loss of speech if ingested. It's native to tropical America and is commonly used as an indoor plant.

Plant Care:

  1. Light: Dumb Cane thrives in bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun exposure, which can cause the leaves to scorch.
  2. Water: Water your Dumb Cane when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch. It's best to use distilled water or water that has been left to sit overnight, as Dumb Cane doesn't like chlorine or other chemicals in tap water.
  3. Humidity: Dumb Cane prefers high humidity, so mist the leaves regularly
  4. Soil: Use well-draining potting soil and make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from sitting in the soil for too long.
  5. Fertilizer: Feed your Dumb Cane every two to four weeks with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season.
  6. Pruning: Prune off yellow or damaged leaves as needed.
  7. Repotting: Repot your Dumb Cane every two to three years, or when the roots have outgrown the pot.
  8. Toxicity: Dumb Cane is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so be sure to keep it out of reach.
