Description:
Watermelon Peperomia (Peperomia Argyreia) is a tropical plant that is native to South America. This plant gets its name from the green and silver striped leaves that resemble the skin of a watermelon. The leaves are fleshy and oval shaped and can grow up to 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. Watermelon Peperomia has a compact growth habit and is an excellent choice for small spaces, such as an office desk.

Plant Care:

  1. Light: Watermelon Peperomia prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so it is best to keep it out of direct sun.
  2. Water: Water this plant when the top inch of soil is dry. Do not overwater, as this plant is susceptible to root rot.
  3. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that is high in organic matter.
  4. Humidity: This plant is tolerant of normal room humidity levels, but if the air in your office is dry, you can mist the leaves to increase humidity.
  5. Fertilizer: Fertilize every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
